I have a table with >500 records, which I can no longer edit and save. My other small tables can still be edited with no problems. If I try to leave the page, the error is that Ajax failed, otherwise, nothing in the console.

I tried to find the table in the WP database, and could not locate any tablepress tables.

As far as I know, this started with the latest round of updates, which seemed to change permissions on some of the WP folders.

I’m assuming upload still works, although I haven’t risked it.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

This might be caused by the PHP memory limit being reached. Could you therefore please try increasing them, by setting the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT constant to a higher value (like 512M) in the wp-config.php file, via the instructions from https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP ?
If the error then still appears, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. In that case, could you please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi, Tobias,

Increasing the memory limit didn’t change anything.

I just created an account for you, which should be in your WordPress inbox. Please let me know if you did not receive it, or if you need more info.

Thanks a zillion for your help!

    Hi,

yes, thanks, I have received the login details and was able to log in.

Then, I tried to save all your three tables (IDs 3, 5, and 6) on the site but had no issues whatsoever. I only got the success message…
Can you maybe clarify where you are getting that error?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Great, thanks.

Table 3 just spins and never saves. I’ve tried it with Firefox and Chrome, since I’ve had other issues with Firefox lately, but it never saves changes.

    Which browser are you using?

    Hi,

I didn’t have this problem, I’m using Chrome.
Are you maybe using any browser extension that could interfere? Could you try from a different computer?

I’ll try all of that, thanks for your time. At least there must be a workaround!

    Hi,

    that’s really strange then…
I’ve now tested again with Firefox, both on Mac and Windows, and had no problems at all…

Could it be something in your network, like a firewall, that’s blocking something?

    Apparently I needed to shutdown-restart.

    Duh.

Thanks again, and I will definitely buy you a coffee!
