• Hello

Recently I have set up a wordpress site on a domain, then redirected the domain to another site using 301 in htaccess, where the content can be accessed until I finish the new site.

However, this makes me unable to acess /wp-admin panel, since it redirects it aswell to the new site.

How can I make the domain redirected to another site, but still have access to admin panel?

Any help with be highly appreciated!

  • You can put the site back on the domain where you setup wordpress.
Then if you need you can use coming soon plugins to display something for the users before making the new site live.
Or if you want the domain to be redirected, you can install new wordpress installation on subdomain e.g dev.yourdomain.com
For this you will need to setup the dns as well.
