Can not add images after 4.0 update

disable all your plugins and try again.

If it then works, enable them one by one until you find the problem plugin.

If it still didn’t work with all plugins off, switch your theme to twentyfourteen and try again.

If is still doesn’t work post back here with a link to your site.

This is a wordpress issue and nothing to do with plugins or themes, this can be seen by the numerous users having the same issues.

Better tell your problem to your webhosting provider.

There are several people with the same issue and 99% of the time it is resolved by disabling a plugin or changing themes that are no longer compatible.

I’ve just tried disabling all plug-ins and still cannot add images. I also tried changing to twentyfourteen while the plugins were disabled. No joy. Help?

What happens exactly when you try and add an image to a post or page?

or contact your hosting company to help you. (I find that live support is more productive than submitting a request via email.)

That solved my issue. I deactivated it and problem went away

@andrew, I was thinking that by running through various issues in public, we might be able to solve both our issues and those of mmcneely. I couldn’t see the logic in creating yet another thread to discuss *exactly* the same issue. But I’ve been told, so I’ll shut up.
