    Hi,

    I installed WPMU on hostgator, everything is fine except I can not add new site in wp-admin/network/sites.php

    I installed the fresh WP4.2.2 with default WP theme, no plugins activated.

    I faced this errors

    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, object given in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3435

    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, object given in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3424

    Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, object given in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3435

    Warning: strip_tags() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3407

    Warning: strip_tags() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 3407

    Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home1/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/kses.php on line 1038

    The screen is dead at this.

    I contacted with hostgator support staff but they can’t solve the problem.

    Can someone give me a suggestion please?

    I really need to get the site works properly.

    Thanks,

    Hi guys,
    This is a WordPress core bug. We’re working on fixing this now as https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/32308#comment:4 for 4.2.3.

    Sorry about misinterpreting the issue at first @toan

    -Chris

    Great! Thanks for update!

    @chris: Could you please kindly share updates when we have fixed patch?

    You will know when the patch is available when WordPress 4.2.3 is released. I can’t guarantee I’ll remember to find this particular post

    If you’d like email notifications, you can subscribe to notifications on that ticket and you’ll get an email on discussion about the ticket and when it goes into trunk and out as the release.

    @chris: thanks for your updates.

    WordPress 4.2 “Powell” – So i think there are no problem (Can not add new site – WPMU. (12 posts)) with old version.

    We can install on official site and waiting for official release patches WordPress 4.2.3.

    @chris, that’s my pleasure.

    @roadstour, have you tried 4.2? if it works, I will try it first, and wait until 4.2.3 released.

    We mark posts that have trac tickets as resolved for sanity. It lets mods and volunteers know we don’t have to jump in and find an issue. You should follow the discussion on trac. You can click the ‘Watch’ button on the trac ticket (it’s near the bottom) to get email alerts. If you need to log in, it’s the same ID/password as you use for the forums.

    @toan: I tried install 4.2 but our hosting provider automatically update to 4.2.2…causes same issue occurs.

    How can we stop automatically updates core?
