A few days ago I installed the plugin onto a WordPress website. I successfully created an account at wordpress.online-backup.com, was able to login directly, but for some reason was not able to login via the Online Backup Settings within the plugin configuration. It was late, I was tired, I assumed I was repeatedly entering the user name and/or password incorrectly.

I put it aside and returned to it just now.

Now when I go to Tools -> Online Backup -> Online Backup Settings I do not see the login panel into which I enter the username and password.

I thought at first it was a browser issue.

I tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE, all with the same result.

    HELP!!!

    Hi Kevin,

If there isn’t a login on the Online Backup Settings, does it show a progress bar of 0%? This means it is logged in and it should have a Log Out button.

If not, what is it showing there?

When I select “Online Backup Settings” I see a blank screen where I’m expected to see the fields where I enter the login name and password. If I knew how to attach a file I would submit a screen shot. If you give me your email address I’ll send it via email.

    Hi Kevin,

Can you go to Help & Support and provide us with the information there?

    Thanks.

You can email snapshot to support “at” backup-technology.co.uk
Just include a link to this topic and mention my name, Jason. Hopefully it will get through to me within next few days.

    The screen shot is enroute.

    Hi Kevin,

    I got the screenshot.

Can you try clicking the bar that says “Online Backup”. Hopefully when you hover over it an arrow should appear on the right hand side, and clicking the bar should make everything appear again.

I know it’s daft and we’re gonna try disable that hiding etc in future versions!

    Jason.

I need you to be more explicate. I don’t see a bar that says “Online Backup”. Where is it? How do I recognize it?

    (@driskell)

Directly underneath the list of links, “Overview | Backup | etc”
It’s the only thing there underneath it. It’s kind of like the header.

I am not seeing what you are directing me to see. As such, another screen shot is coming your way. The email will contain the URL to this thread. Please tell me exactly where on the screen I should be seeing what you are directing me to see.

    Got your snapshot.

Click Online Backup Settings. I was referring to the bar in your previous snapshot on the Online Backup Settings page.

Clicking the bar will toggle display of that box. Which of course is a little daft on a screen with only one box, and as I said we’ll stop this happening in future!

I’m clicking on Online Backup Settings (which to clarify is to the right of General Settings and to the left of Help & Support) and nothing is happening. I am not experiencing the toggling you’ve described.

Click Online Backup Settings. This is the screen we need to be on.
Just underneath the links, so just underneath the “Online Backup Settings” link, there is a grey bar saying “Online Backup” inside it. Click that bar anywhere inside it, it should toggle the content.

Thank you for your patience with me. I FINALLY get what you mean by “the bar”. I have toggled and now I see where to enter the user name and password.
