I can not disable the plugin in its own sttings, and i also can′t do this via the plugin menu from wordpress. what can i do to disable and delete the plugin completely?

Edit: i used FTP to rename the folder to xx_old and afterwards it showed up as inactive in the plugins menu. i have then been able to delete it.

    Hi @bayoum1,

What is the error you are getting when you are trying to disable the plugin via WordPress plugin menu? It would be helpful if you can report the issue, to prevent this happening in future.

If you can’t disable the plugin using those ways, please try this methods: https://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/disable-a-wordpress-plugin/

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you!

There has not been an error message. the plugin settings were “saved”, but it remained enabled. in the wordpress plugin screen, there was no error either. it just said “can′t delete active plugin” or sth, and when i wanted to deactivate it, it said “deactivated” and even w3total cache said “plugin deactivated, purge page cache”. but it just stayed active.
