can not get past #4.

  • Hello,
    I am new to php and I was offered free webspace through Build to Learn and they offer php and mysql and I want to install wordpress. I uploaded all of wordpress in a folder I created named wordpress and I got through steps 1-3 ok but when I go to 4 and do what it says, I come up with a 404 error page. I am wondering if I am typing in the wrong extenstion or did I upload everything to a wrong place, the extenstion that I am trying to use is: to try and install. All I get is a 404 error page.
    4. Point your browser to wp-admin/install-config.php. This will create a configuration file for your installation. You’ll need to know your database name, username, password, and host name.
    Any help with this anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!

    nevermind I uploaded everything to the wrong place afterall. sorry for the bad post. =(

    Courtney, for your blog’s protection, I would remove the above link to your install-config.php (though it is somewhat safe, it might cause problems later)
