    from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5

That is bit odd as I have updated mine and did not have have any problem.

I can’t upload anything!!! Because I cannot even log in or get to my to my admin area

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option() in /home/homes54/public_html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 22

You need to use ftp to upload the folder Samuel suggested.

    (@westcoastmktg)

huh? ftp to what? That’s totally ridiculous since I now have no access to my back office!

I had a perfectly working blog, then I upgraded per the suggestion of my back office and now I’ totally off line!!!!

    dude – get a grip
    do not use wp-admin
use an ftp client or your host’s file manager to upload the folders
do you want to get this working again?

Can you please let us know if you were using wordpress from a directory and use site url as your domain name.

Sorry Samuel, I was just frustrated.

I know how to ftp in a cpanel on my hosted sites but not with a WP blog.

I’m new to WP, I was using BLOG, but frankly I think WP is better and has more options.

I don’t even know where to locate the /wp-admin and wp/includes folders or how to ftp to a WP blog. Can you instruct me on that?

    The two blogs url’s are:
    https://sanjosemarketingfirm.com/wp-admin/
    https://homesearchsanjose.com/wp-admin/

    I really appreciate the help,
    Larry

    ok – I’ve been there
from the top right of this page, click the download link and download the wordpress zip
extract the files with windows or zip client
now you have the folders you need

with control panel file manager – pick which domain to work on
click on the root folder (maybe public_html or htdocs)
inside the root folder you will see the wordpress folders you need

select to upload these folders to your root folder
    when done run https://homesearchsanjose.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php
    for both sites

edit – if you get totally stuck, email and I’ll try to help you
click on “moderator” under my name – email is in my profile
    may be a few hours
