    Dear Nissim,

First of all I would make sure that it is a problem with the theme, i.e. load one of the WP default themes and check if the problems with the shortcode dissapear.

If that is the case there may be two reasons:
    1. The theme does not admit shortcodes: in that case I would recommend to change the theme because shortcodes are a standard resource for WP plugins so you will hit again that problem in the future.
    2. The theme may be expecting an excerpt that does not interpret shortcodes: just write some random (reasonably) long text and include the shortcode afterwards to see if it works. In this case is up to you to decide if that workaround is good enough for your case.

I would not recommend to “mend” the theme by developers unless are they are the creators of the theme because that will probably break future updates/upgrades and may cause different issues.

There are thousands of nice WP templates out there and unless there is a very good reason to stick to that particular one I would just change it….if you need to invest some money I would rather do it on a good foundation than on fixing a troublesome theme.

    Best regards,

    Eduardo

Thanks Eduardo for your detailed response.
    1. change theme – I cannot – or more accurate – I am afraid to change my theme because my studiopress-genesis theme is heavily customized, and I don’t want to take a chance of having a problem when I return back to it…
    2. “not recommend to “mend” the theme by developers unless they are the creators” – Yes I absolutely agree and take this advice of yours – Thanks!

Anyways, I have referred this problem to my coder who is very good, and I hope to find a good solution.
    I will update you.
    Thanks,
    Elias
