    Hello and good day.

I am trying to use the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin to create my catalog on Facebook.

However, it’s not allowing to me select a catalog after selecting an incorrect Business Manager during the initial setup.

I’ve tried deleting the catalogs from Facebook but it’s still not allowing me to choose an existing catalog. It’s also not allowing me to create a new catalog that I can select (I can create but not select).

This has occured on two sites.

    Can you please help?

  • Hi, @rayeason!

Are you seeing any particular notices or error messages when trying to select a catalog?

If you can provide us a screenshot of what you’re seeing, that would be very helpful. If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can use https://snipboard.io

    Also, you mentioned the following:

However, it’s not allowing to me select a catalog after selecting an incorrect Business Manager during the initial setup.

Can you clarify for us, are you now connected to the correct Business Manager? If not, you may want to start the connection from scratch by following the steps here: Facebook for WooCommerce: Uninstall Plugin and Remove WooCommerce Facebook App.

    Hello and good day.

Thank you for the quick response.

I have created a quick video in loom.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @rayeason ,

Thank you for sharing the screencast. It seems the screencast was only recording one tab, so I couldn’t see the screen post 1:45 minute mark, however, your narration does give me an idea of what might be happening.

The catalogs that are greyed out, have you checked and confirmed if the “Ray Eason” account has “admin” access to the Business Manager account of those catalogs?

If that doesn’t work, then please try the following:

    – Take a backup of your site (Important)
    – Disconnect Facebook account from the Facebook for WooCommerce extension
    – Go to https://gaming.rayeason.com/wp-admin/options.php page
    – Search for facebook and remove all the values of options that have facebook in the name
    – Save changes. This should completely reset the extension and Facebook connection. Then try connecting again, and ensure you select the correct Business Manager during the setup.

Do let us know how that goes and if you need any further help from us.

    Hello and good day.

I deleted all the instances of facebook in both the name and value but am receiving an error of:

    Something went wrong.
This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading this page.

    Hi there @rayeason

    That’s not good.

It seems that we need to troubleshoot further, in order for us to do so and with a greater flexibility when sharing information between us, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.

Please include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We will be able to help you further there.

Hi @rayeason. We’ve received your email. I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved since we’re communicating directly now.
