    Although the sharing button itself seems to work (see this screenshot), I didn’t receive any email.

    Could you try checking if your WordPress installation is still able to send out emails, by installing this plugin?

    Thanks for the reply. I have installed the check-email plugin and I tried sending several emails with no luck either. I wonder what the problem is.

    I just subscribed to the blog using two different emails and WordPress DID send me two emails confirming my subscriptions. So it is able to send emails …. Now the problem is why the sharing does not send emails …

    Hi Jeremy:

    I had to add the WP Mail SMTP plugin for it to work. As my hosting server requires all emails to be sent via SMTP and authenticated. I hope this helps future users.

    It’s worth noting that Jetpack Subscriptions send emails from the WordPress.com servers. That’s why these emails were successfully sent even when your server was not able to send emails.

    I had to add the WP Mail SMTP plugin for it to work. As my hosting server requires all emails to be sent via SMTP and authenticated.
