• Hi! I’m being asked to do this if possible, and I’m not actually sure it is. Can an RSS feed be set up for only posts from a particular user of a blog?

This is a store blog with multiple people posting, each under their own user name. The idea is that you could keep up with just one user’s posts.

If this isn’t possible I guess the next best thing would be to just have a permanent link for each user that takes you to just his posts. I’m suspecting that’s about the only way to access one user’s posts, and that you can’t do it via RSS. But am I wrong? If so, I’d love to know how to do it.

    Thanks!

  • Yes and yes. I mean both options are possible and available in WP.

    example.com/author/display-name/feed
    (if using nice permalinks)

For your second question, read the Codex!

Thanks, Moshu, for pointing me in the right direction!

Sorry Moshu, I was away on vacation and unable to finish pursuing this until now, and having done so, I’m actually slightly confused. In:

    example.com/author/display-name/feed

Where you say “author”, is that literal or is there a user parameter “author” that goes there? I see that the author_posts_link tag shows the Username (as it is called in the current WP). I assume that’s what I’d put for “display-name”. But whatever I do, I can’t reach any kind of RSS link for an individual user.
