I charge a flat rate of $X to ship product A and a flat rate of $Y to ship product B anywhere in the continental USA. $X is greater than $Y. However, if A & B are ordered together I only charge the shipping cost for A as its box has room for B. I use the Woocommerce Composite Product plugin but there does not seem to be a way to not charge shipping for a particular product if it is bundled with another product. I could create 2 SKU’s for B, one that has a shipping class that costs $Y and another with a shipping class that costs $0, but that makes my inventory more complicated to manage and my logistics warehouse has to have 2 different SKU’s for B. Is there any way to have the shipping for B not added when A & B are ordered together but have it charged if B is ordered alone?

I have investigated using shipping classes with the most expensive item charged since the $X cost of shipping A is great than the $Y cost of shipping B. However, there is a product C that can also get bundles with A which always has shipping cost $Z associated with it as it has to ship in a separate box. Therefore if A, B & C was ordered using the shipping cost would be $X for A+ $Y for B + $Z for C and I only want it to be $X for A + $Z for C so using shipping classes will not work I do not think.

    Hello @leonpress44,

    Thank you for reaching out!

You can set up all kinds of conditional shipping logic using the Conditional Shipping and Payments extension.

The extension basically works by hiding the options, for instance, let’s say you have two shipping options, A, and B. If A and B are both in the cart. Hide option A and show B only. It also supports weight-based constrictions.

I suggest you give it a try (we don’t offer trials but we have?a 30 day refund policy). If this extension turns out to be not what you were looking for,?please reach out to us via email?and we’ll be more than happy to help find alternatives. :?)

Let us know if you have any other questions.
