Can subscriber, contributer, author levels be same but different for access

  • by making all three the same (read only) will this still keep users separated according to the usergroup or will they all be considered same
    ie
    author (same)
    contributor (same)
    subscriber (same)

    but now when you have some items that allow you to restrict based on usergroup level
    will they all get treated the same due to the capabilities being the same ?
