• So I’m having an issue with a plugin working with my current theme. The Developer wants access to my site. I’ve already backed up my stuff and from what I read I just make a new user and set it to admin and let the developer use that then I delete it when they are done. But I was wondering if it was possible for someone with that new user that I created delete my original user and change the login credentials for the temp user? I might be paranoid, and I have no reason to not trust the Developer, but is there a way to safeguard the primary admin user so it can’t be deleted?

  • Basically, no.

An admin user can delete and remove any other admin users. Ensure you backup your site files and MySQL database before letting the other developer have access and then you should have something to roll back to if need be.
