    Hi there,

Really pleased with the initial catalogue thumbnail layout and have now been able to hide the side bar and layout switching options, but when you click on the product picture for more details, the product page itself just looks really messy.

Is there no zoom/lightbox function when you click on the main image? How can I remove the unnecessary scroll side bar on the left? And why is there a link icon next to the product title? Can this be removed?

I know additional image uploads are part of the upgrade package, but is this what the left scroll is for or are there options to change the display setting to just have smaller thumbnails?

    Thanks for your help,

    Florie

    Hi,

Sorry about the delayed reply. The scrollbar is there for the additional photos; it and the link icon could be removed by applying:
    display:none
    to them in the CSS.

You can actually get rid of the individual pages in general by installing the FancyBox for WordPress plugin on your blog. The products will come up in lightboxes that way from the catalogue page.

    Hi,

No worries, thanks for your help. The FancyBox for WordPress plugin has worked a treat and managed to remove scrollbar and link icon too after lots of trial and error – I’m a self taught web builder so never quite sure what I’m doing with CSS scripts hehe.

I love this plugin, looks so professional now! Keep up the great work =)

    Hi Florie,

Glad to hear that it all worked out, and that the plugin is working as expected. If you’ve got a second to rate, it’s always appreciated!

    Hi.

I was wondering if you could give me a few tips on how to improve my catalogue design as well.

When I go to the main display of the catalogue it shows the images double (right across “categories” and “sub-categories”)

Have a look at my site to see what I mean:

    https://agrigarden.co.za/catalogue/

Then again, my scrollbar on the side is extremely long…

Any advice on how to improve the “look” of the catalogue? I have installed the fancybox plugin. Which makes it look a bit better.

    Thanks
    ??
