  • Hello,
you can install two copies of Locatoraid, just make a copy of the main “locatoraid.php” file to something like “locatoraid_2.php” or “locatoraid_another.php” or anything else starting with “locatoraid_”. Then you can activate it in the admin panel, and it will be a completely independent install. Then you could use a different shortcode pointing to this new install.

    hitcode,

    Thanks for your quick response.

How would I create a new short code for installing my second map? On my first map, it doesn’t appear I can edit [locatoraid]

    Thanks

    Adam

    I have the same question.

How to create a new shortcode?

Edit: Now I see it. Shortcode [locatroid2] is created automatically.

I know this was resolved and the hack works. But the problem is, if you update the plugin (like I did today) it removes the “locator_2.php” file. You should look into having the plugin search for custom files outside the plugin folder.

Also, this does not add a second widget for the sidebar. With customization, this will work but an update will overwrite it.

I have made a copy of the locatoraid.php to locatoraid_2.php from the wp-content/plugins/locatoraid/ folder. After this I do not see an option in the Dashboard to activate this, is there another step to get more than one copy of Locatoraid working?

EDIT: Nvm, I see it now.
