Can this be done?

  • Right now I am running the wp 2012 theme on a multisite (kinda.. still waiting for DNS to prop- but thats for another forum)..
    What I would like to do is have the log-in and site map on the main page (main domain) while having individual blogs run off the subdomains. (Its a family blog.. each family member has their own blog).
    Anyways- what I would like to do for the log-in page is have a family tree with buttons that lead to each blog in the middle of the page. I have created the tree and buttons in Photoshop already.
    Is this possible? Do I need to create my own theme or plug-in or can I do this with the 2012 theme? Or am I completely nuts?
    It seems like it “should” be something easy to do but I am new to all of this and could really use a push in the right direction ??
    My domain is bloggingwithfamily.com – there isnt really anything to see though.
