Hi. This page on my website, which is a list of links, keeps embedding snippets of pages in iFrames and one of the links causes the Safari browser on Macs and iPhones to allow a registration window to pop-up for a different site shortly after loading. It happens even when pop-ups are blocked.

I loaded your plug-in, but it still occurs. Is there a way to stop that? I don’t care if people embed pages from my own site on theirs or not; I just want to stop the embedded iFrames from running scripts or whatever causes the pop-up. Thanks!

    Hey there

This plugin disables the enhanced embeds feature added in WordPress 4.4, which means that you can’t embed other WordPress sites anymore and they can’t embed yours.

It does not prevent embedding YouTube videos or <iframe> elements that you manually put in your content.

What you describe sounds like you actually shouldn’t install this plugin as WordPress by default sandboxes embeds. Embeds may still run scripts, but not open popups or redirect you to some malicious site.

If you need more help with strange embeds, I’d recommend asking in the general support forums here on www.ads-software.com.

    Cheers
