Hi, Just wondering when the last update for this plugin was . I can’t recall if there was one lately but about 2 or 3 days ago my Jetpack publicize stopped working. Just wondering if this plugin can affect it.

I ran FB debugger on one of my URLs and it said this:

    “Warnings That Should Be Fixed
    Missing Properties
The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id ”

I’m also going to post this Updraft plus and my cache plugin in an attempt to solve this annoying issue.

    thanks for any info./help

You don’t provide any details about what “stopped working” means. (ie nothing is published, something is published but it’s incorrect, etc)
I’d say it’s unlikely All in One SEO Pack is interferring with Jetpack’s publicize, but you can try some basic troubleshooting sets to narrow down conflicts. https://semperplugins.com/documentation/how-to-troubleshoot-issues-with-all-in-one-seo-pack/

You can set your app id in the All in One SEO Pack settings. https://semperplugins.com/documentation/social-meta-module/

Hi, thanks very much for the reply. Sorry wasn’t able to reply sooner but was trying to investigate the issue further. I think you are right, it likely has nothing to do with your plugin. I even took your suggestion and activated the social meta (which shouldn’t have had anything to do with anything because I didn’t ave it active before and the JetPack publicize was still working).

And to clarify when I said it stopped working I meant it stopped sharing my published post to facebook and twitter (had to resort to manually sharing them) even with the social meta activated it still refused to work and there were no errors.

So finally after days of trying and testing etc I noticed that the last Jetpack update was likely the issue because it is slightly ahead of my version of WP in terms of compatibility and at present I cannot update WP to a newer version b/c my theme won’t allow it so basically I’m screwed till I find another suitable theme as my theme developer/creator is a deadbeat and no longer someone I deal with.

For now I am thinking of going back to the version of Jetpack just before the last update (but I’m not sure this is possible or if it will cause more problems)

And of course my other solution is finding a standalone social sharing plugin and disable the JetaPack publicize feature.

Anyway I just wanted to explain the details as to why I had to ask here because there were several plugin updates around the same time so I was uncertain if this plugin might have been one of them that created the issue but it was not the offender.

Thanks again for replying and for your suggestions in trying to help, I appreciate it.

Thank you for posting your findings here, we appreciate it and it helps other WordPress users troubleshoot their issues.

I am not sure if you managed to fix this issue, but I had the same problem of,

The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id

This refers to the Facebook developer ID number. What I did to rid of this error was create a Facebook Developer account.

In the Social Meta Settings of the plugin where it says,

    Facebook App ID

Click the “?” icon, that shows a text link to go to: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/register

Go to that link, follow the blue buttons. First log in, then Create Developer Account.

If you dont see the developer ID number on whatever page shows after doing these things, then go to the last blue button to finish that wizard. The developer ID number should show then.

Use the developer ID number you just created and insert it into the Social Meta settings in the “Facebook App ID”.

Click update options and then test again via the debugger. The error warning should be gone.
