    Hi,

Plugin: Registration – Custom Registration Form, Login And User Profile For WordPress

    Question:
Can this plugin do the following?
    1. Show a button that makes the password visible on registration and login form
    2. Email the new user with their username and password

  • HI floatingworldweb,
I’ve used User Registration Plug-In and had little trouble with it.
Yes, Passwords can be checked with a button to see what you’re typing. Also, it can test the password for ‘strength’.
I just realized that I never tested the “Lost Password” feature. It does have one. However, I suspect it works along the lines of the regular password set up. So there would be no need for you to create and send an e-mail to the registering visitor. The Plug-In does send a confirmation e-mail, but there would never be a need, so far as I can tell, for the site manager to send an e-mail to a registered user. WHY would you want to?
This Plug=In seems to have a strong emphasis on security.
I recommend that you create a TEST Sub-Domain and test everything on it. That way you won’t mess up your site.

Thanks. Our users are very old so we want to email them their password so they can find it easier in the future. I think this would require a custom plugin though; correct?

    Hi @floatingworldweb

    Thanks for writing in,

The field in the registration form can be sent via email to your users. For this, please refer to the documentation in the link below.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks!
