can updraftplus backup tables not using the wordpress site prefix?

My wordpress site database has tables inherited from another application which use prefix mdb_ ie a different one from the site’s defined prefix (which is the default wp_). can i force the plugin to backup these tables as well as the standard ones or do i have to change the prefix of the standard tables to mdb_ so that they are all the same? I can’t change the mdb_ prefix very easily as the other application still runs.
