Hello Jan-Willem, we tried installing and setting up the plugin but noticed that within the Divi theme blog feed modules and the custom blog builder pages don’t register or bring in the selected featured image.

Do you have any known workarounds with Divi or is it safe to assume that because of the way Divi works, this isn’t possible? Thanks so much!

    Hello DeeLink,

I have never used Divi. So I don’t know.
Also I don’t tnink I’ve ever had any complaints about Divi in the 9 years this plugin is active.

I do think the builder pages won’t show the DFI as the DFI is excluded from the admin pages.

My advise is just experiment with it and see what works.

    Let me know

    Hello,

I have the same issue as @deelink. In Divi, choosing the featured image as the background works only if the background has been set manually for the post or page with the default WordPress system. Using DFI doesn’t seem to work in this case.

I can provide a test website if you want to take a look.

    Thanks.

@janwoostendorp I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

Ok, I understand the problem of giving credentials to a website. To get around this, I will try to provide a screen record to show the problem. This may give you more information about this issue. I’ll keep you posted.

    Thanks.

    Hi Emielb,

I hope a screen record might help, also please include how it’s setup in the admin. I’ll wait for that

@janwoostendorp No thank you, we opted not to use the plugin as it didn’t fit our needs. Very much appreciate the follow-up though ??
