    Hi,

    thanks for your post.

To be honest, I’m not really sure what you mean here. Most likely that is because I don’t know that WP User Frontend plugin that you mention.

Do you simply want to restrict which users are allowed to add or edit a table in the admin area of WordPress? That is possible, as TablePress uses WordPress capabilities internally, so that you would simply have to add/remove the necessary capabilities to the users.

If that’s not what you meant, can you please describe that again in more detail? Thanks.

    Regards,

When a logged in member goes to create new content. I would like them to have the ability to add a table into their content. I am not sure if your plug in has the ability to integrate with other plugins. My site gets a lot of user created content and I want the members to be able to enter it on their own. That WP user allows for a front end admin to enter/submit new content. I would like them to be able to use your Table plugin as well.

    Hi,

    ok, thanks for the explanation.

Well, “integrating” into other plugins is a complex term here. It is possible to show tables in other plugins — if they support regular WordPress Shortcodes.
What’s more problematic is adding tables. That’s not possible from within other plugins directly, but only through TablePress’s own admin screens and user interface. If that’s not a problem, I don’t see objections here. It is possible to let users create tables and to let them add it to e.g. pages or posts (with the Shortcodes).

hmm, i see what you are saying. unfortunately i don’t think this will work. I don’t think i want to make 30,000 members authors ??

    Hi,

ah, no ?? You don’t want to do that ?? Also for so many users, the approach of managing tables separately from the rest of the page content is probably not going to work.
You might therefore want to look into other custom solutions instead. If it’s just about easy table creation (without advanced features), a plugin that extends the editor toolbar might be worth a try.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
