Can we create use the API to add points for external tasks

    I need to get a gamification engine and this looks good. Can you use the API to add points for external tasks.

    Say for example we have a custom application and when they complete a task in that application, can we add points to a user or is it only useable for WordPress tasks triggers?

    Thank you for contacting us, If you are a technical person / Developer you can use the rest API to add points for external tasks.

    I can also confirm that you can use the API to have MyCred add points in response to external events. I just finished implementing this functionality with the plugin on my own website!

    I used GET/POST requests to indicate external events, and implemented it using this tutorial modified with this hook. Best of luck!
