• Hello WP User Manager

Is it possible to display the username or display name of the logged in user in the front end header so it can say something like “Hi, [name]”?

    Thank you

    Hi @stephunique,

This would require template customization. We have a helpful article for this, please check here.

I hope this points you in the right direction, please let me know if you have additional questions.

    Hello Robert,

I tested the instructions on the page you posted, but not all of the files/templates are there. I went to “wp-content/themes/mytheme” and added a folder called “wpum” just like it said, then went to “wp-content/plugins/wp-user-manager/templates/” to find the template. According to the instructions, I need a file called “intro.php” and post it in the “profiles” folder so that the path is “profiles/intro.php”. But this file does not exist. The article is from 2021, maybe the updated current version (2.9.10) does not have this file or that it is renamed to “header.php”. I tried putting “header.php” into a new “profiles” folder I made inside the themes/wpum folder and nothing happened.
