Can we show Portfolio categories in a sub-menu?

I adore this theme and I am trying to make the most out of it. I am a UX Designer and I’m setting up my portfolio now. I am interested in splitting my portfolio page into category sections like this: https://www.figma.com/file/XbtiTS6QyyiKyrriyZJJ8sVg/Resume?node-id=27%3A0
Is this possible and if yes, can someone help me do that? I am comfortable writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
