Can widget areas be reordered in Appearance, Widgets?

I’ve set up a bunch of widget areas and would like to put them in a logical order in the admin view of Appearance, Widgets for my client. Is that possible? It looks like as new ones are added, they are added to the top of the widget areas, and I don’t see a way to re-order or set a sort order for them. Thanks.
