Can WordPress do this??

  • I’m hoping to create a website that allows users to
    1. Register (Anyone can register)
    2. Upload Images with description (tag the photo with links to a different page) and share them
    3. View other users profiles and photos

    Can wordpress do this? Sorry I’m new to wordpress. It’s like Flickr, but obviously a wayyy smaller version.

  • It can…but without really having a good understanding of your site’s features for the visitor and for those who will come, register, upload, etc., you would more likely need to find a couple plugins to provide registered users the means of managing their login account, but mostly, to manage image uploading efficiently with sharing ability. You may need to explore the plugins directory for image uploaders, sharing images, and maybe even membership plugins. Ultimately it will based on how you want your site to look and function from the point of someone arriving at it, as in step 1, step 2, and what they will be able to do and not do.
