Can WordPress help me with a site like this?.

  • Hi, I want to make a website that would initially (main) look like this:

    https://www.istockphoto.com/

    (without the search box)

    and then, after clicking in a particular area, to show something like this:

    Blocked View 2.

    No sign up required, the sites are only linked so you get an idea of the look&feel, the only one uploading images would be me.

    Can WordPress do it?.

    I think the question is more can you do it rather than can WordPress do it!

    You might like to start by looking at photography specific or portfolio themes. There are plenty out there. Then think about some gallery plugins and see what they have to offer. It will take quite a bit of research to see if you can find and off the peg solution.

    After that (or before if you don’t want to do all that searching and testing) @wpyogi’s suggestion of paying someone to do it for you is a good one.

    My question was more about if WordPress can do it out of the box, with the exception of plugins of course.

    I can always take the source code and do wtv I want.

    OK, then I would say that WordPress can do what you want.

    Like I say, you might like to look at photography or portfolio themes to start you off and see what you need to do to think about customisation after that.
