    Hey guys!
I have an idea for something i would like to do, but im not sure whats the best way to go. Would appreciate ideas and suggestions! Is wordpress the best way or what would you say is the best for this:

The idea is basically to have companies list their business with coupons and/or specialdeals. I want the customers to be able to find these companies based on location, category or just a simple search through a searchbar. The idea is to take a fee based on percentage from the companies that have users recieve the coupon (i dont know how to validate that the coupon has been used) or by sending a request to us and we handle the communication with the company (I’m open for ideas).

I have medium/good knowledge in WordPress and have worked with Woocommerce but im not sure they have what i need!

    Hi there,

While I’m not aware of a plugin capable of letting other companies post coupon codes or links to their products on your site and then tracking usage of these coupons on their sites – here are a couple of ideas:

    1. With WooCommerce Product Vendors plugin these companies can register as vendors on your site and sell products directly on your site. While not exactly what you’re looking for – the payments are processed through your site and vendors are getting their commission through PayPal Mass Payouts.

    2. These other companies could use an affiliate plugin such as this or this and provide affiliate links for you to post on your site. No additional development needed for your site, but it might not be easy to convince other companies to install and use such plugin.

Other than that the functionality you’re looking for will require extensive custom coding. If you decide to pursue such functionality and find yourself in need of help with the code – I’d recommend reaching out to someone from WooCommerce.com customizations page.
