Can you activate a PopUp video from a link?

  • Is it possible to initiate a video popup on a page from a link in the query string? I have videos embedded in playlists on this page and was hoping to be able to send people to this page and show a specific video.

    hmm … if you add logic to show a normal YouTube embed and if that page is built using standard WordPress logic (meaning that the_content filter is used), then LYTE should be able to change the YT embeds into LYTE ones.

    Thanks for the reply. I’m sorry I don’t follow you completely. What do you mean by ‘normal YouTube Embed’? What would the URL look like?

    I had a look at the linked page, and taking into account the display of the video’s in the gallery is already “lyte” and that the full video only shows when being clicked upon, it does not make sense to implement LYTE there as LYTE does things similarly to how the gallery is built i.e. showing the thumbnail and loading the *real* video when the visitor wants to watch it Jay.
