Can you add Flash Animations to WordPress

I have a portfolio website and have created a few flash animations I’d like to showcase. Am I able to add these to my WordPress site. I can either use .FLA or .SWF files. I suspect I need to convert them first, and if so, what format and how do I do it without spending a lot on software. Many thanks in anticipation, Pete.
