• I’m working on a site for a guest house in Jaipur, India. The site is https://www.ikaki.in and I’m using WordPress entirely as a CMS — no blog anywhere on the site.

If you read this and are willing to visit the site in whatever browser you have and let me know if everything looks all right, I will be eternally grateful. =) I have uploaded a screen shot of what the site should look like here: https://ikaki.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/ikaki.tiff

I have verified that it is working properly in:
    Safari v 5.0.5
    Firefox 3.6.13

    Again, the site is https://www.ikaki.in

    THANKS! =)

  • The design works very well on my firefox 5.0 for ubuntu. But the gallery page is taking like more than 10 minutes to load and not showing any pictures till that time, and while that time, the scroll bar is down so long which seems like it might contains another 50 pages below. Check this link about the screenshot.. https://twitpic.com/5y3ir8/full BTW, finally the gallery loads up. The design is cool. What is your personal website? I would like to see..

    deSushil,

Thanks for this information! The gallery page is certainly a problem — I will work on it.

My personal website is https://www.jacquelinecieslak.com — just a standard blog site. =) I’m glad you liked the design for Ikaki Niwas!

And again — thank you for taking the time to respond!

    Jacqui,

Try https://browsershots.org/ for browser testings. It will take snap shot of your site in gazillion browsers.

It looks good in Chrome but i didn’t dare to open the galley page.

If i can make one small suggestion and you don’t hate me for it, the image frames are too much. I know you tried to make them unique and matching to the architecture style but as a design standpoint, the picture frames take away from your theme. Just take a look at the picture of the bathroom with fancy frame and you’ll see what i’m talking about.

Otherwise it’s a gorgeous site, well done.

If i ever need a website, i know who to call now. ??
