Can you exclude image information from a search function (not results)?

I have a page with images that I would like to exclude from a search. I have used ‘Simply Exclude’ but after some testing, it seems that the search function still searches through image information – title, alt link etc) and displays this as results.

My current blog set up has images that are used in individual posts and are collated on a page – so when I search I get the Page AND the post in the results.

Is there away to edit the search function to JUST search text on a post? That way I could exclude the Page altogether.
