Can you load 2 separate copies of WP onto the same domain name?

  • Is it possible to load 2 separate copies of WP onto the same domain name?

    I have an html site with a WP blog attached i.e. https://www.domainname.com/blog

    I want to create a landing page for a PPC campaign but don’t want the landing page to have the blog header or extension (/blog).

    I was wondering if it would be possible to load up another copy of WP onto the same domain name and name it say https://www.domainname.com/sales

    Is this possible?

  • Short answer is YES:)
    You need different directory for every install (in your example /blog and /sales)
    Another option is WordPress Multisite ??

    Another option is to put your wordpress in a sub-domain, you would then access it as: https://sales.domainname.com/ Again this second wordpress would be installed in a different directory to your blog.
