I know you can choose a different thumbnail for your YouTube video using an embed code that isn’t from this plugin, like: `[video src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYZ" poster="https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/example.jpg"]

How can we do this with this plugin via the its shortcodes?

Currently, the plugin loads the thumbnail provided by the YouTube API. If you own the video, you can change that thumbnail directly on the YouTube channel.

Thanks. But bummer, I was hoping with all the other awesome customization this plugin can do, having a way to easily designate a custom thumbnail within the shortcode could be possible.

YouTube only provides 1 high quality thumb. I’m trying to create tutorials where I have multiple embed instances of the YT video on the same page. It looks a bit funny to see 4 or 5 of the exact same thumbnail. Anyway, I would pay money for this functionality in your plugin! ??
