    Hi,

I just want to make sure I’m using this tool as it was intended. I have a custom taxonomy called “Books” for example. I just want to switch terms within that custom taxonomy, from “Red Riding Hood 2” to “Red Riding Hood” (all part of the Books custom taxonomy type). So I set both the to/from taxonomy settings to the same time, “Books”. And I enter the term ids into the text boxes below.

But it doesn’t seem to work for me, it says the taxonomies are not found. The term ids are definitely correct.

Is this tool only for when I want to switch taxonomy types (Say from Books to DVDs) versus from term to term (all within Books)?

I’m using WP 4.9.8 if it helps.

    Thanks!

It does sound above what the plugin was intended for, regarding your Red Riding Hood part. That sounds more like a term naming issue rather than a term to different taxonomy issue. Our plugin here, at least as far as I’m aware, is meant to take between taxonomies, not help with bulk term quick editing, for lack of a moment of better phrasing.

Yeah there’s a snafu on the site I’m working on where the wrong terms (duplicates basically) were assigned to posts. And we want to delete the duplicates but need to re-assign all the posts that have the duplicate terms, to the original terms. I was hoping this would help, but it doesn’t appear to work for me. It seems like it’s expecting the to/from terms to be from different taxonomy types OR perhaps there’s an issue because the “from” term does not have a parent whereas the “to” term does. I’m not sure if that’s confusing the plugin.

Thanks for the reply though. Will move onto other avenues.
