Can you use English (international) as a language?
-
I use Polylang for my multilingual website and I’m very happy with Polylang. I started with a Dutch website and thanks to Polylang, I get quite a lot of visitors from the United States.
However, I found that I didn’t got so many visitors from other English-speaking countries, like the UK. I also found my google ranking is lower in the UK on almost every popular search querry, using Google’s Search Console. I was wondering if that could be because my website is in EN_US, and would therefore be less ideal for the United Kingdom. My content however, is about videogames and novels. It should not be more relevant to an American citizen than a UK citizen.
I was wondering if it is possible to select English (International) as a language somehow, instead of a ‘localized’ version of the English language. In the settings of Polylang, I can only choose localized versions of the English language like EN_US and EN_UK.
Hope someone can help me! Thanks.
