Canard's frontpage doesn't work properly

Hi there – I tested this with version 1.0.4 of Canard and WordPress 4.3 and I got excerpts displayed on the blog page for link, image, and gallery post types, as expected.

Have you made any changes to the theme files?

Could you provide a link to a post that’s showing this behaviour so I can try to replicate it? Thanks!

I had only updated from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4.
There were no problem with 1.0.3.

Thanks for providing those links. It’s a bit tricky for me to see the problem because I’m not familiar with that language. I don’t think I’m seeing any of those posts (one of which is a Standard post format post) displayed in full on the homepage. Would you mind taking a screenshot of the problematic post on the front page?

Thanks for the screenshot! Yes, it’s tough for me because of the unfamiliar characters. ??

The two posts I see in the screenshot below the featured posts area at the top both look like they have a “read more” link at the bottom. Could you please double-check and see whether you’ve manually add a “More” tag somewhere in the body of those posts?

The two posts have “read more”link.
And I remove “read more” html tag,
It’s OK on frot page!

Adding the “More” tag manually will override the theme’s default display, which is to show an excerpt on the front page. This is a little different than the last version of the theme, so sorry for the confusion!

So you could add “More” if you wanted to define specifically where to break the post.

Hi! I have a problem with featured images. I′m using Canard on a self-hosted site running and I activated the Jetpack plugin to get the Featured Content option.
When I′m in Appearance > Customize it looks well, but when I see the site it doesn′t work.

alejandraduk – does each post have a featured images that meets the recommended minimum size of 1920 by 768? Could you try adding one image to a featured post that meets that minimum and see if that does the trick?
