Cancel rating option and record ratings of 0

Hi codeinwp,

I briefly tested your plugin and think it is pretty awesome!

I did notice something I didn’t like though. When a user comments and decides not to move the rating sliders, no rating is recorded. This is desired behavior! But when the user wants to rate all options 0, the user has to move the slider to the right first, and then back to 0. But when the user does this, again no vote is registered! The user has to rate with 0.1 , instead of 0, for the rating to be recorded.

I’d like to suggest registering ratings with 0 as well, but including a ‘reset’ or ‘cancel’ button if the user changes her mind about rating. The button should be next to each rating slider.

Currently there is no clear way to cancel rating once the sliders have been moved. The only way to do that is setting the slider to 0, but the user doesn’t know that the rating will not be recorded when it is set to 0. Also this behavior is confusing / frustrating to users who want to rate a product feature with 0.

I hope you see my problem.

P.S. I tried to follow the solution offered in this post but I don’t think the instructions apply the the current version of the plugin. Neither offers that solution a way to cancel the rating once the sliders have been moved.
