Cancelled Bancontact payment showing Thank you page

    Hi !
    I have a problem with the Bancontact payments.
    I have tested multiple times to cancel a payment with Bancontact and it always redirect to the Thank you page.
    How can I change this ? I would like the customer to be redirected to the checkout page. Eventually with a message saying the payment was not completed.
    The order is showing as “Pending payment” even if the payment was cancelled by the client.

    The steps : Once I’m in the checkout with the billing and shipping informations completed, I choose the option the pay with Bancontact.
    I click on “Order” and am redirected to the Bancontact girogate window.
    I then cancel the payment clicking on the cancel button.
    I am immediatly redirected to the Thank You page instead of the checkout.

    This is odd. Let’s investigate it further.

    How did the conditions change when the issue started appearing? Can you reproduce it consistently, or it happens randomly? Was there a change in permalinks recently, perhaps? Is the classic or block-based functionality enabled at Checkout? Did you already have a chance to test with all other plugins (except WooCommerce) temporarily disabled, and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

    Moreover, I went ahead with testing this, with a test site of mine, and I was redirected back to the Checkout page after failing the payment via Bancontact.

    As far as I know, the conditions didn’t change. I have no problem with credit/debit card or paypal. If the payment is cancelled, the client is redirected to the checkout.
    However, it happens consistently with Bancontact.
    I changed some permalinks recently but not to the checkout. Nothing has changed in the checkout.
    I forgot to mention that I am using Elementor. On my checkout page, I am using the checkout block.
    No, I haven’t had the opportunity to test without other plugins activated.

    The problem is that the order is still in “payment pending” when the payment is cancelled on the Bancontact website because the payment with Bancontact opens their website (Bancontact girogate) to manage the payment. So I’m guessing there might be a problem there ?
