cancelled Paypal payments

    Hi there, i have problems with my woocommerce – shop. i get sometimes this error message:

    Order #%s has been marked paid by PayPal IPN, but was previously cancelled. Admin handling required.

    The Paypal payment went through and was billed. Does anyone know the problem and can help?

  • In my experience it usually came down to a drop in the connection with the IPN. It happens daily with PayPal.

    Are you getting it once, twice or all the time? If it was once I wouldn’t worry about it too much. It’s like having a cellphone and getting a dropped call.

    It’s happen every day once. Since nearly one week. I phoned with the hotline from paypal yesterday and they say, it’s not the problem from IPN or Paypal …it must be the problem with WooCommerce.

    It could be a plugin conflicting with the connection that’s creating this as well. PayPal will never tell you it’s an issue on their end. It’s sorta their thing.

    I would create a development site and do a lot of testing in sandbox.

    Use only the plugins you need first and turn the others on one at a time and then test, then another, test.
