My install on my new site seems to finish fine. (My test database is good, and everything is green).
    However I can’t finish the install as I get a 404 page.
I type in my website, I get a timeout.
    I type in a file like https://www.waterwarehouse.co.za/instaler.php and I get a 403 forbidden error…

    cheers, Bruce

  • Hey @brucemacg,

You will want to use the name “installer.php” the name “instaler.php” will not work.

    Hope this helps~

sorry, did that, just my spelling here not goo.

It runs 100%. I’ve looked at all messages and it seems all green and good.
I get successfully to Step 4 of 4: Test Site. I click on Admn Login and get this
    “Not Found
The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I click on my website and get a list of files. (like this)

    Index of /
    Name Last modified Size Description
    20190130_watersports..> 2019-02-01 11:34 9.6M
    dup-installer-bootlo..> 2019-02-01 11:34 9.7K
    dup-installer/ 2019-02-01 11:34 –
    installer-backup.php 2019-02-01 11:34 35K
    installer.php 2019-02-01 11:34 35K
    wp-config.php 2019-02-01 11:46 3.1K

    ????

That’s basically the content of my root directory

    Please help

    cheers, Bruce

    Hey @brucemacg,

You will need to work with your host to do two things:

    1. Turn off directory browsing
    2. Be sure that index.php is added to your web servers default file types.

Both of these tasks your host should be able to do for you pretty quickly.

    Hope that helps~

But your step 4 does not complete properly..?

I’ve hosted under this web domain already, I’m just trying to refresh my site. i.e. I’m saying it must be set up correctly on the host side, it used to work prior to me trying to “refresh” my site using duplicator.

Duplicator does not seem to install the correct files and directory structure down… It looks very wrong with only the installer, dup_install and some other files present.. (htaccess, wp-config). Not the usual directory structure at all.

    cheers, Bruce

    Hey @brucemacg,

It sounds like you may have permission issues when building the package. If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue I can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~
