• I don’t know why WordPress.com deleted the option to log in using a username and now only allows us to log in through an emailed link. It makes no sense. I created my site in 2011 and have put a ton of work into it. I don’t remember what email address I used back then to create it. I believe it was an old email that I lost the ability to access. I’ve been using my username and password alone to log in for years. I can log in using my username on www.ads-software.com but I can’t access my site from there. The strange thing is that I got a renewal notice from wordpress to my gmail account for this website, and when I access my profile on www.ads-software.com it also lists my gmail account as the account associated with this website, but when I try to send a login link for my website, it does not go to my gmail account. It is outrageous we pay for wordpress and they offer zero phone support and instead outsource support to other users offering help voluntarily in the forum. I filled out the form to recover my account but have not heard from wordpress. Any help would be appreciated.

Your login at www.ads-software.com has *nothing* to do with the login on your own website. If your site is on wordpress.com, to clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and www.ads-software.com are two different entities:?https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/difference-between-wordpress-org-and-wordpress-com/

Due to the differences between the various “types” of WordPress offered at wordpress.com and the self-hosted and self-installed version of WordPress supported here, you should probably ask WordPress.com support instead: https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/

I need to be logged in to ask WordPress support as it’s accessible only on the dashboard as the link you provided says. The support link you sent says if you can’t access your account you can try to use the account recovery form, which as I mentioned I did but I haven’t heard back.

What is the URL of your site? Where is it hosted?

Someone from WordPress reached out to me and I was able to access my site again. Thanks for following up.

Who reached out to you exactly? We don’t reach out to anyone here.

I bring this up because there is a scam company that claims to be “WordPress Support” in order to compromise sites.
