Cannot Access my WordPress Login and webstie is down – Help!

Thanks Barnez. I’m really new to all this. I dont have anything in the right hand side box. Just the left, seems im not connected to anything?

I contacted my host and they said it was a coding problem and I needed to load a back up version. I have done this and it still doesn’t work.

Any help please as this is a commercial site and I need it running!

This is my hosts response, does it mean anything to anyone? I regularly back up my wordpress files through filezilla, but don’t know if that covers a database back up?

After extensive investigation it would appear that the issue is not server side related as the database connection itself works fine:

The issue however appears to be regarding the information in the database itself. As in we have noticed that all rows of data within your database table truewp_options are missing.

As there’s now way of getting this data back and not possible to check since when this was deleted, we recommend you to restore your database from a previous working backup:

You will need to setup the FTP client (Filezilla) to access your site, using the username and password issues for your cPanel by your host, etc. It takes a bit of time to set up, but it is invaluable as you can always access your site files regardless any conflicts with wordpress plugins.

Here is a tutorial you can follow to set up FTP to access your site files.

Hi Barnez. Thanks again for your help on this. I cant get it to connect with server still. Login authentication failed. Not sure what username and password to use in the site manager window. Have tried both the anonymous username with password that was there and my wordpress username and password. Can you help? Again!

Just in case anyone is interested, I resolved my problem by switching from a windows server hosing account to a linux hosting account. It was so simple and fixed everything in an instant.
