• I run a former WPMU website which I continuous update (now 3.1.2).

    Since the activation of the new “network admin” I experience problems with it. Although it got better with 3.1.2 (the former bugs were a bit suspicious) I still cannot access network admin from my main blog. As a consequence I always get kicked out of the backend. My current workaround is that I visit the backend of a subdomain-blog of my multisite and access network admin from there.

    I suppose the problem is caused because my main blog runs with www prefix (https://www.domain.de) and the network admin links to https://domain.de/wp-admin/network/

    Does anybody else experience the same problem? Is that a known bug?

    Thanks for help

  • Not really a bug, but it is an issue when you have www in some places and not in others. There’s multiple threads here in the multisite section on just that issue.

    Thanks, I could not find similar threads with a quick search. Hope it gets fixed soon.

    Did you go look at the thread titles here?

    As I said, it’s not a bug. YOU have to go into your install and fix your www and non www references and make sure they are all one or the other.

    Well, I must have been either blind or the thread titles weren’t there whenn I looked before :-/

    I inserted

    define('NOBLOGREDIRECT', 'https://domain.com');

    and now it works.

    Thanks for your patience.

    I’ve had the same problem just now, making the www references in the db more consistent didn’t appear to fix it.

    So I also added define('NOBLOGREDIRECT', 'https://domain.com'); and now it’s working again.
