• Resolved Cee

    (@chengfucius)

It used to work. Then, a few months ago, we got the “file cannot be found.” No response when asking for support. Then… now this error message instead. Please help. Thank you.

“You are not allowed to download this file. (If you believe you are authorized user then deactivate and reactivate Simple Job Board Plugin.)”

NOTE: Deactivating and reactivating did nothing. Also, turning off all other plugins and switching to the default theme also did nothing.

Thank you. It is indeed fixed. I await the next release for a permanent fix.

    HI there,
I am also experiencing this issue and cannot resolve it…
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

    Hi @rwalsh456,

    Thanks for writing to us.

Please follow the following steps and check if the issue is resolved:

    • Please check and verify if your file exists at this path: wp-content/uploads/jobpost/2022.
    • Re-check and make sure that current users have permission to view jobs.
    • Deactivate and re-activate the Simple Job Board plugin.
    • Reinstall a fresh copy of the Simple Job Board plugin.
    • Make sure your hosting service provider has granted access to the plugin to read files directly.
    • This can also be caused due to conflict with any plugin or theme so debug the issue by deactivating other plugins one by one or changing the default theme to Twenty-Twenty.

We hope the solutions provided above will resolve your issue.

Feel free to reach out for further assistance.

    Regards,

How do i check permissions on what accounts can view applications?

    Hi There,
It looks like i am able to download older CV’s that have been updated but not the most recent ones.

    Hi @rwalsh456,

Every user with admin access can view the applications. However, the user role which has the capability of “download_resume” are only allowed to download resumes. You can check user role capabilities with the help of any role management plugin.

Furthermore, this seems like either the previous resume files are moved/deleted from the directory or your current upload directory is different from the previous one.

Feel free to reach out for further assistance.

    Regards,
