• Working for university assessment on a website. All has been good for last few weeks. However, 2:30am this morning, after enetering coding for breadcrumbs got the following:

The website cannot display the page HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    ?The website is under maintenance.
?The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.
    More information

Am unable to get into website of Admin to check/remove/update anything. Any ideas on a way to resolve this issue.

Thank you – student feeling the stress.

  • I assume that you have been using the build in code editor. Don’t use it. That thing is dangerous– like working on an airplane while it is in the air. Login over FTP, which is what you should have been doing all along, and fix the problem.

Thanks for your response. Sorry, but not that strong with technology. How do I login over FTP?

    Regards

Get an FTP client like FileZilla, fill in the connection information that you will have to get from your host, and that is about it.
