• I cannot access my website! I bought a new phone and sold the old phone with my 2FA on it for WordPress. I installed 2FA on my new phone but you need a security code to couple it, which I did not save. I contacted the 2FA provider and they say I can only reset it via WordPress.

    • I didn’t buy anything on WordPress so I don’t have payment proof.
    • I don’t have the email anymore that was first send to activate my site (over 4 years ago).
    • I can prove its me via my passport, and the website is full of photos of me. I can’t find where I can contact WordPress to help me reset my 2FA? Please help

  • Hi @nikki2020! I think your question is not for www.ads-software.com but for wordpress.com/support/contact/

Hi @tamarazambrana I cannot contact WordPress there. If I click on I have a problem with my self hosted WordPress site it redirects me to this page www.ads-software.com. Do you have an idea what I should do?

@tamarazambrana There are multiple 2FA plugins available, so without knowing the site URL, it’s hard to make that distinction.

@nikki2020 Assuming from that reply that you have a self-hosted WordPress site, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and delete the plugin offering the 2FA functionality.

That will allow you to login again, and you’ll be able to re-install and reconfigure your 2FA plugin of choice.
